Sofia's educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and Education, with an emphasis in Sports Management. She is a certified Kids Yoga and children's Y-Fit instructor, Certified Ayurveda Traditional therapist, and Basic Life Support (First Aid, Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation, and AED) certified. She is an active participant in athletics, yoga, movement, and exercise; and a life-long athlete for over 25 years. She has over 10 years of experience of compassionately working with children. Her teaching techniques are tailored to incorporate self-expressive movements, by creative-play, and through fun-mindful practices, in efforts to create and build a solid foundation of healthy habits for children. Her inspiration for mindful-movement was instilled to her by her father since being able to take her first steps. Her fathers love for soccer and athletics ignited her passion for exercise science and health promotion. Sofia's profound love for kids and movement was brought to light while working for a non-profit organization. She worked with kids ages 5-12, including children with special needs and children from under privileged backgrounds. This incredible experience led to the discovery of her life mission; which is to guide and help mold the innate athlete in children. Her personal drive is to serve children and see them thrive. Sofia loves teaching children by instilling positive behavioral changes that they could use throughout their lifespan to live optimally.
The most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart.
